SMS Opt-In Evidence
Last updated: 2026 Q2
This page documents how L2h.ai, Inc. (“L2H”) obtains prior express written consent before sending any text message, and preserves a record of our opt-in experience for carrier and messaging-provider review. L2H operates its SMS program through Twilio Inc., our messaging provider. We do not buy, rent, sell, or share mobile phone numbers, and mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
1. How consent is collected
We collect consent in person at L2H events, demos, and staffed booths. A visitor scans the QR code on our signage, which opens their own texting app pre-addressed to 123-123-1234 with the keyword JOIN pre-filled. By sending that text from their own device, the visitor opts in. We do not import contact lists, and we do not enroll a number unless its owner sends the opt-in message.
- A visitor reads the on-site signage with the full program disclosures.
- The visitor scans the QR code (or texts JOIN to 123-123-1234 manually).
- Their texting app opens pre-addressed to 123-123-1234 with the keyword JOIN already filled in.
- The visitor sends the text from their own number — sending it is their opt-in — and we record the date, time, and originating number.
- Twilio replies with a single confirmation message restating the program terms and the STOP / HELP keywords.
2. Verbatim call-to-action (consent language)
The following language appears on the signage next to the QR code:
“Text JOIN to 123-123-1234to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from L2H. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy (l2h.ai/legal/privacy) and Terms (l2h.ai/legal/terms).”
3. Scan-to-opt-in QR code
This is the live opt-in QR code printed on our signage. When scanned with a phone camera or QR-scanner app, it opens the visitor’s text-messaging app pre-addressed to 123-123-1234 with the message “JOIN” already filled in. The visitor must still press send from their own device to complete opt-in — scanning alone never subscribes a number.
